Inside the Tribe with Tonyell: Which Path Do You Follow?

Greetings Tribe 💛✨

September has arrived.

And apparently, we're beginning it with a murder.

A fictional one.

At least, that's the plan. 😂

While the rest of us were finishing August, Elias got a call from Salvador about an immersive murder-mystery experience being developed for the Grand Opening Celebration.

There are clues.

Routes.

Intersections.

Connections that matter.

Connections that look like they matter.

Basically, somebody designed an experience specifically for a man who has spent twenty years looking for patterns in everything.

Of course he's going to Brazil.

The more interesting question is:

Why do some paths catch our attention in the first place?

Sometimes The Path Wasn't In The Plan

Zaire was already going to Salvador.

He has been working with the performance programme, so representing the Founders at the Grand Opening made sense.

Elias?

Not so much.

Then Luana called.

She showed him a murder-mystery built around pathways, clues and connections.

And something caught.

That's how some decisions happen.

Not with a grand declaration.

Something makes you look twice.

The Connections Keep Appearing

Then there's Maya.

Two years ago, she began an installation at the Salvador Global Village and deliberately left it unfinished.

She wanted the building to live first.

Guests. Staff. Birthdays. Arguments. Arrivals. Departures. Ordinary life.

Then she would return and finish the work in response to what the place had become.

Now Salvador is preparing for its Grand Opening Celebration.

The installation is still waiting.

Elias notices that too.

Salvador.

The mystery.

Maya.

Unfinished work.

Separate things.

Maybe.

Seeing A Connection Isn't Understanding It

That's the idea I'm carrying into this book.

Because Elias is very good at seeing where paths cross.

Twenty years ago, he walked into a Leicester storytelling event and met five people who would eventually build the Tribe with him.

Looking backwards, it's tempting to call that destiny.

Alignment.

Something that was always supposed to happen.

But Elias admits something important in this episode:

He didn't know where that path led.

He simply noticed something worth following.

There's a difference.

And I have a feeling this book is going to make him learn it.

Around The Village

So that's our question this week:

Which path do you follow?

Maybe something has been appearing in your life lately.

A place you keep thinking about.

Someone you should call.

A journey you've postponed.

An idea that keeps returning.

You don't have to know where it leads before taking the next step.

But maybe pay attention to why you noticed it.

And tell me:

What path keeps appearing in front of you right now?

I'll meet you inside the Tribe Library.

Much love,
