Tribal Connections: Finding Your People in a World That Feels Disconnected

Greetings Tribe 💛✨

Let’s talk about something that sits quietly in the background of so many of our lives - disconnection

Not the kind you fix by resetting the WiFi.

I mean the deeper kind.

The kind you feel in your chest.

The kind that whispers, “Where do I belong?”

Because here’s the truth:

You can be surrounded by people and still feel alone.

You can have followers and still feel unseen.

You can be online every day and still feel disconnected from the world.

And if that’s you - I see you.

Because I’ve lived that life more times than I can count.

My Life Has Been One Long Restart

Since I was 16, my life has been a series of new beginnings.

New cities.

New countries.

New cultures.

New schools.

New communities.

New versions of me.

I went to three different high schools before graduating from an international school in Kenya.

Then I went to an international university…

before transferring to a local Kenyan university when I became pregnant with my oldest son.

And that was just the beginning.

Most of my adult life has been spent starting over -

packing up, moving, rebuilding, adjusting, learning, unlearning, and trying to find my people in places where I didn’t know a soul.

I’ve lived in cities where I felt invisible.

I’ve lived in countries where I didn’t know how to belong.

I’ve lived in seasons where connection felt impossible.

And that’s why Tribal Connections exists.

Because I know what it feels like to be disconnected -

and I never want anyone in this Tribe to feel that way alone.

Why I Built the Tribe

People think I created Tribe of Travelers because I love travel.

And yes - I do.

But that’s not the real reason.

I created this movement because I was searching for connection

Real connection.

Human connection.

The kind that makes you feel grounded, understood, and held.

I wanted a space where people could meet each other without pretense.

Where friendships could form naturally.

Where you didn’t have to explain your whole life story to be accepted.

Where you could show up as yourself - messy, growing, healing, evolving - and still feel like you belong.

Tribal Connections is the heart of that vision.

It’s the place where strangers become familiar.

Where familiar becomes friendship.

Where friendship becomes community.

And where community becomes movement.

Finding My Foundation in Leicester

After years of moving, shifting, and restarting…

I finally feel like I’ve found the place where I want to build my foundation.

Leicester - the historic, multicultural, unexpected city -

is where the Global Village is being born.

It’s fitting in a way I can’t fully explain.

Maybe it’s the diversity.

Maybe it’s the history.

Maybe it’s the way people have embraced me.

Maybe it’s the way the African Caribbean Centre feels like home.

Maybe it’s the way the right people keep showing up at the right time.

All I know is this:

For the first time in a long time, I feel rooted.

And from here, I want to reconnect with the world - with YOU.

This is where the Tribe begins.

This is where the Global Village takes shape.

This is where connection becomes culture.

Why This Space Matters

We live in a world where people are more connected than ever -

and yet more disconnected than ever.

People are lonely.

People are isolated.

People are craving community.

People are searching for their people.

And that’s why Tribal Connections is so important.

It’s not just a chat space.

It’s not just a comment section.

It’s not just a digital room.

It’s a bridge -

between you and the people who get you.

Between your story and someone else’s “me too.”

Between where you are and where you’re meant to be.

This is where the movement becomes personal.

This is where the Global Village becomes real.

This is where YOU find your people.

A Soft, Empowering Invitation

If you’ve been watching quietly from the sidelines…

If you’ve been feeling disconnected…

If you’ve been craving community…

If you've been searching for your people…

This is your moment.

Drop a message.

Introduce yourself.

Share your story.

Tell us what you’re looking for.

Tell us what brought you here.

Tell us what you’re hoping to find.

You don’t have to be loud.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You just have to show up.

The Tribe will meet you where you are.

Let’s Build This Together

Your Tribe is here.

Your people are here.

Your moment is here.

Say hello in the comments.

Tell us who you are.

Tell us what you’re about.

Tell us what you’re looking for.

Let’s build something real.

Let’s build something meaningful.

Let’s build the movement - one connection at a time.

💛✨
