Sunday Reflection: What Do We Carry Home?

Gentle hearts 🌿🤍
I sat near the water this morning and did something that has been surprisingly difficult this week.
Nothing.
No messages.
No questions.
No trying to make one piece of information explain another.
Just the water moving in and moving out.
And somewhere in that quiet, I thought about Chapter One.
Some Questions Need Room
This week began with people asking where they were going.
Elias towards Salvador.
Maya deciding whether she would follow.
Zaire asking an entire room where they wanted to go next.
And then there was Kevin.
By the end of the chapter, the question wasn't simply where?
It was why?
And perhaps even:
Do we have the right to decide what someone else's journey is supposed to mean?
I've spent much of my life listening to what happens after a question is asked.
People become uncomfortable with silence.
We fill it.
We explain.Assume.Connect things.
Sometimes because we're curious.
Sometimes because we care.
But care does not always give us understanding.
And a connection is not necessarily an answer.
So I'm Leaving This One Here
The water hasn't stopped moving while I've been sitting here.
It doesn't seem particularly concerned that I haven't worked out where every wave is going.
Perhaps there is something in that.
Chapter One is finished.
The questions aren't.
Which question from The Continuing Story are you still carrying?
Tell us in the comments - but please keep the replies spoiler-conscious for anyone still reading.
Next week, we follow The Trail.
Until we meet in the quiet again…Be gentle with yourself. And leave room to hear one another.
