27-29 November 2026

Booking Closes: Sunday, 1 November at 8:00 PM

Big up fam! 🙌🏾🌍

Everybody wants to talk about London.

Fair enough.

London does give us plenty to work with.

St Paul's.

Westminster.

The London Eye.

The Thames after dark.

And if you've already started deciding which outfit is making it into which photograph, I respect the preparation.

But I've been thinking about something else.

I've been thinking about the car park in Leicester.

Because months from now, on a Friday afternoon at the end of November, people are going to start arriving at the Leicester Tribal Lounge with bags at their feet.

Some will know each other.

Some will think they know each other because they've been liking each other's posts for six months.

Some will arrive with somebody.

Some will arrive alone.

And before we see a single London landmark, something will already have started.

The journey.

Not the coach journey.

Ours.

Before London, There Is Leicester

There is always a strange little period before a group trip begins.

Nobody has technically gone anywhere yet.

But nobody is quite where they were either.

Someone is checking whether they packed their charger.

Someone else is insisting they definitely packed theirs while quietly checking their bag.

There will be luggage.

Coats.

Travel mugs.

Introductions.

People checking names.

Someone asking what time we're actually leaving despite having read it at least three times.

Probably more than once.

I know this because I've met people. 😂

But underneath all of that, something else will be happening.

People will begin noticing one another.

Someone will see a person standing alone and make room beside them.

Someone will recognise a face from Friendly Fridays.

Two people who have only spoken online will finally meet properly.

A bag will be moved so somebody can sit down.

Someone will look at the person beside them and ask:

“First trip with us?”

And just like that, London will have started before Leicester has disappeared behind us.

Community Happens in the Small Things

Twenty years with the Tribe has taught me something.

You can organise an event.

You can book transport.

You can reserve rooms.

You can build an itinerary down to the minute.

But you cannot schedule the exact moment strangers begin becoming something else.

That usually happens when nobody is looking.

On the road.

Someone has snacks and passes them around.

A conversation starts across the aisle.

Somebody falls asleep twenty minutes after announcing they never sleep on coaches.

Names get remembered.

Stories get exchanged.

Someone discovers the person sitting two rows away grew up ten minutes from where their grandmother lived.

And gradually the coach stops feeling like transportation.

It starts feeling like a room.

That matters.

Because the Tribe has never simply been about getting people somewhere.

It's about how we travel there together.

The final chapter of When the Village Carries Home reminded me of that.

The destination matters.

Of course it does.

But community usually begins slightly before the thing everybody thought they came for.

So This Week, We're Starting at the Beginning

Over the coming weeks, we're going to take you through our London Autumn Weekend differently.

Not one giant itinerary thrown at you all at once.

We're going to travel it.

Piece by piece.

This week, we're at the Leicester Tribal Lounge.

We're arriving.

We're putting our bags down.

We're finding out who's sitting where.

We're boarding together.

Then we're pulling away from Leicester and heading south.

Later, we'll get to London.

We'll get to the hotel.

The Welcome Reception.

Dinner.

St Paul's.

Westminster.

The London Eye.

The Thames.

There is time for all of that.

Today I want you to picture something much simpler.

Your bag is packed.

It's a late-November Friday afternoon.

The Tribe Shuttle is waiting outside.

People are beginning to arrive.

And somebody you haven't met yet might be about to become part of the story you tell when you come home.

Maybe You're Coming Alone

Good.

Seriously.

You would not be the first.

One of the things I pay attention to at Tribe gatherings is the person hovering slightly outside the conversation.

Not because something is wrong.

Sometimes people just need a minute.

You don't need to arrive already knowing everybody.

That's rather the point.

Come by yourself.

Bring your partner.

Bring your friend.

Bring the cousin who keeps saying they need to get out more.

However you arrive, we'll meet you there.

Because hospitality isn't pretending everybody already belongs to the same friendship group.

It's making enough room for somebody new to enter it.

London: 27–29 November 2026

Our Featured Tour of the Season takes us from Leicester to London for an autumn weekend of community, food, culture and exploration.

Travelling with us from Leicester includes luxury return coach travel, two nights at the Holiday Inn London – Regent's Park, our Friendly Fridays Welcome Reception, Welcome Dinner, hosted Tribe experiences, concierge support, meals, optional excursions and complimentary shuttle service.

And if Leicester isn't where your journey begins, that's alright too.

You can arrange your own travel and accommodation and meet the Tribe in London for selected experiences, excursions, community dining and the Welcome Reception.

Different starting points.

Same weekend.

Same Village.

One Friday Afternoon

That's where I want to leave you this week.

Not underneath Big Ben.

Not above London on the Eye.

Not cruising along the Thames.

Outside the Leicester Tribal Lounge.

Late November.

Coats on.

Bags packed.

Shuttle waiting.

People arriving.

Because sometimes we spend so much time imagining where we're going that we miss the moment the journey actually begins.

And I'm starting to think that moment isn't when the wheels start moving.

It's when somebody looks across a room, a pavement or a coach aisle and realises:

I'm not doing this journey by myself.

Next Tuesday, we'll travel a little farther.
